Choices are Hard

What choices are easy to make in your life? What to have for lunch, what should I wear, what movie should I see? But there is one choice that is really hard to make, Should I buy a Franchise or start a business from scratch? If you have ever wanted to go into business for yourself you know there are many different options. However, you need to have the knowledge of choosing the right one for you. One that feeds your passion that you will love to work at for a long time. One that makes you successful because you are skilled and amazing at what is required for that business venture. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years while watching my father run his business or talking with the franchisee owner it's that if you have the personality for working with people you can be successful at anything you do. If you are someone that is patient and willing to put the work in you can be successful. Now that doesn't mean that everything my father did in his business was easy, because it wasn't. Our family knew when he was stressing about work because he would stay up all night playing Tetris and working out the details of what he should do next. You see Tetris relaxed my father to where he would play for hours and then he would be ready to face another day of grueling business. I remember one winter that was very stressful and so that he could put food on the table, my father sold his prized car that he always dreamed of, a 56 T-Bird convertible. It was a huge sacrifice for my father but one that he would make again for his family. My father owned a boat business,it was hard because we live in Utah and guess what? there is snow! you can't water-ski in the winter. The winter months were difficult however after much consideration and thought he went on to sell snowmobiles and 4 wheeler and that helped sustain his business in during the winter months. It was thinking outside the box as to what would help his business grow. Guess what, it worked! There are many processes that we have to learn about our business so that we can have a very successful one. If we don't follow certain processes our business could fall apart and we would be stuck with a very expensive bill for the failed business. Our lives are to where we are able to chose from so many different opportunities and make the best business we can. So what is stopping us? Don't let fear set you back, let is set you on fire to be the best that you can be. It will make you a better person filled with dreams that you can make true with hard work. Hard work does pay off, persistence pays off and we are blessed to have the knowledge to know what is best for us and our situation. Choosing can be hard but the choice you make could launch you into the business of your dreams.

Going Through the Ups and Downs of a Business

When I first thought about all the different things that I learned this week the main thing that stood out in my mind was something that Action Hero: Gururaj “Desh” Deshpande said. He was talking about how we all set goals in life and we are working through what we need to in order to meet that goal. He said that “If you know something is possible, you can do it. But just getting the opportunity to know what’s possible is probably the biggest gift you can have.” There are so many possibilities in this life and that is what makes life so amazing! My last lecture

My Last Lecture… There are many things that I have learned over the last 14 weeks of this journey and I am going to share them with you. When I started this journey I was scared, wondering what could I learn, is this going to be difficult, am I supposed to figure this all out in only a few weeks? How was I going to come up with a business, work my business and be successful when I haven’t done this before. How can I impact the world with my idea and how can I help people in a way that makes me happy and want to be to work each day? These questions plagued my mind and I had to find the answer.
